봄이 되어서인지 만물이 소생하고 있습니다. 그중에 제가 매일 먹이를 주던 고양이 한 마리가 새끼를 낳았습니다. 너무 예뻐서 모두 다 키우고 싶은 마음이 있었지만, 현재 선교회 주변에는 약 8마리의 길고양이가 이미 먹이를 의지하고 있어 더 늘어나는 것은 어려울 것 같았습니다. 안타깝지만 어미에게 사정을 이야기하고 새끼들은 입양을 보냈습니다. 어미 고양이가 저를 용서할지는 모르겠지만, 마음에 미안함이 남아 있습니다. 선교회 건물에 둥지를 틀고 있던 너구리도 4마리의 새끼를 낳았습니다. 천장 타일을 부수고 여기저기 구멍을 내는 바람에, 새끼들을 생포하여 건물 밖에 두었습니다. 밤사이 어미가 와서 새끼들을 데리고 이사를 갔습니다. 참으로 다행입니다. 고양이는 입양을 보내고, 너구리는 내보냈습니다. 그러나 천하보다 귀한 아이들은 선교회의 목적이자 우리의 사명입니다. 이 아이들이 대학에 진학할 때까지 꾸준히 돌보며, 하나님의 사랑으로 먹이고 가르치고, 생명책
