Churches are back!

Dear friends of Hana Mission,

Churches are coming back! After two years of social distancing, one by one, churches are returning to serve the neighbors in the Paterson area.

Last Saturday, Pastor Kenny (이강) from Bountiful UMC of Martinsville came and served our friends. Today, Riverside Community Church brought sandwiches and chicken soup. And, beginning April 16th, Bethany Church in Bloomfield will resume serving home-cooked chicken soup to the homeless. Thank you, pastors and churches! Together, we will bring the lost sheep to the house of our Lord. Please continue to pray for the homeless and substance abusers.

After more than two months of physical labor, the Paterson store is almost ready for the opening. On April 11th, we are scheduled to have a final inspection. Because this building is designated as a "historical preservation site," I wouldn't know until the day of the inspection if more work was required. Please pray for strength and courage to continue this endeavor.

Thank you to those who participated in the store renovation, including GCF from Virginia, Pastor Helen's youth group, Way maker Church in Fairfield, Arcola young adults, and Bruce Park 권사님. Please forgive me for not mentioning the churches and individuals who have been praying for Hana mission faithfully.

We will be having summer camp this year and so far, Northshore Community Church and Pastore Hellen have committed to one week each. If you love children and want to share Christ's love with them, please let us know.

Lastly, with the opening of the second store, we need to collect more clothes and other donations. Please do your spring cleanup and donate your rarely worn clothes to Hana Mission.

그동안 거리두기 정책으로 인해 섬김 활동을 중단 하던 교회들이 하나 둘 씩 돌아오고 있습니다.

지난 토요일은 가득한 교회 이강 목사님과 성도들께서 홈리스분들께 하나님 말씀과 아침 식사를 제공 하셨습니다. 감사합니다. 오늘은 Riverside Community Church (Elmwood Park, NJ)에서 Full course meal 을 준비해 주셨습니다. 감사합니다. 그리고 오는 16일부터 배다니 (Bloomfield) 교회에서 그동안 중지하였던 치킨 스프로 다시 노숙자분들을 섬기게 되었습니다. 섬김을 원하셨지만 방법이 없어 기다리신 교회와 성도분은 저에게 연락하셔서 섬김을 기쁨을 체험하시길 바랍니다.

어린이 여름 켐프가 이번 여름부터 다시 시작하게 되었습니다.

Northshore Community Church (Oyster Bay, New York) 와 헬렌 전도사님께서 한주간 씩 봉사하십니다. 더 참여를 원하시는 교회와 성도님은 저에게 연락해 주시기 바랍니다.

약 두 달 동안 진행한 패터슨 가게 보수공사를 마무리 하며 오는 4월 11일 최종 빌딩 검사 이후 가게 운영을 시작 할 계획입니다. 하지만 저희가 렌트한 건물이 역사 보존 건물로 지정된 이유로 좀 더 까다로운 검사가 예상 됩니다. 위하여 기도해 주시기 바랍니다.

마지막으로 패터슨 가게를 운영하기 위해 도네이션 수거를 정기적으로 하고 있습니다.

여러분께서 옷, 신발 이외에 도네이션을 준비하시면 선교회에서 언제든지 픽업하도록 하겠습니다.

봄맞이를 준비하면서 그동안 먼지가 쌓인 물건, 옷가지들을 모아 선교회 사역을 도와 주시면 감사하겠습니다.
