Start Over

It was denied. 

The City of Paterson rejected, though we expected, the proposal to turn Hana Mission into a school. The reason being, we have included the resolution that was passed in 2011. So, we are revising the school plan and will resubmit the application as soon as possible. The architects, Mr. & Mrs. Kim are working on it now.   

Meanwhile, I have written a book in Korean, "The world I have seen from the bottom and from the top," which is being printed in Korea and will be shipped very soon. Please consider buying this book and raising funds for the school.  

Virtual tutoring has been launched, but so far, we have no students willing to learn. Also expected. Everything that Hana Mission tries to do, such as helping people to stop abusing drugs and children to excel in their school, is not a popular subject here. Nonetheless, what we are called to do is shine the light of Jesus in the world. Together, we will continue to strive to herald the good news and proclaim salvation in the name of Jesus Christ!  

Lastly, I would like to share with you our new backyard. 

Our work in the backyard is not finished yet. I hope we all understand that, in the same way, everything that God does takes time. 

Let's be patient with people around us and also be patient with His timing. 

May the Lord give us his patience so we can be gracious to each other and to ourselves.

오랜만에 인사 드립니다. 

먼저 패터슨 도시 계획 오피스에서 선교회가 제출한 계획을 기각하였습니다. 

예상했던 일입니다. 우리가 제출한 서류에 2011년에 도시 개발 팀이 허락한 의결서를 포함하였기 때문입니다. 

아무래도 학교 건축은 공청회를 통하여 처음부터 다시 시도해야 할 것 같습니다. 

그전에 여러분께 부탁 드리는 것은 이 모든 과정에 필요한 자금을 모으는 일입니다. 

이 일을 위하여 제가 어줍지 않은 글을 써서 책으로 만들고 있습니다. 한국에서 출간하는데 가져오는 비용이 만만치 않군요. 

혹시 운송에 도움이 되실 분이 계시면 알려주시면 감사하겠습니다. 

그리고 여러분께서 책을 구입해 주시기를 바랍니다. 책은 $20불에 판매할 계획입니다.

나무와 함께 제 손도 잘라져 응급실에 다녀오며 주님의 고난에 동참? 할 수 있어서 기뻤습니다. 

하나님이 하시는 일은 참 시간이 오래 걸립니다. 

나를 변하게 하시는 하나님을 묵상하면 내가 왜 다른 사람들에게 오래 참아야 하는지 쉽게 이해가 됩니다. 

우리 모두 주님이 주시는 인내함으로 서로에게 오래 참고 또한 스스로의 실수를 용서하는 여러분과 제가 되기를 바랍니다. 

그럼 다시 소식 전할 때 까지 주님의 은혜 가운데 평안하시기를 기도합니다.
