Rich's DAY!
Rich was happy yesterday!
For many years, Rich called himself an "oven technician." He couldn't find a better job description for many years because his role was to heat up the food that was already prepared and serve it to the people. That was then. But now, Rich is running the store by himself!
When the store is managed by someone else, Rich then manages the sorting part with other workers under his supervision.
For 14 years, Rich has been living here at Hana Mission and has become a man of all trades!
And he had a happy day yesterday: he took a picture with Paterson Mayor Andre Sayegh!
It was not an arranged meeting with the Mayor; however, Rich felt so good about himself by realizing the change from a homeless man to a God-loving man! There was another reason for his happiness: he sold a washer and dryer to one customer and made the highest sale yesterday. I know Rich's story is truly inspiring and I pray Hana Mission will have more stories like this. Next Wednesday (9/14/2022), Hana Mission will have Kathy and Andre joining our program. Please start praying for these two right now. Remember that behind Rich's success story, there are the stories of nine others. In other words, nine people die prematurely from chronic homelessness or substance abuse while only one recovers by the grace of God. Please pray for the following topics: 1.Donation: If you have any new or used golf supplies or sporting goods, please donate to Hana Mission. 2. Working space: In order to receive, sort, and assign donations, we are looking for a warehouse. 3. Volunteers: For pick up, sorting, cleaning, and organizing, we need more volunteers than ever. 4. Drug/alcohol rehabilitation program: Please continue to pray for those who are trying to recover from drug or alcohol addiction. 어제는 리치 형제가 하루 종일 행복한 날 이었습니다.
패터슨 시장과 사진을 찍는 '기회의' 날 이었기 때문입니다.
하지만 또 한가지 리치를 행복하게 한 사건이 있습니다:
패터슨 매장을 혼자 운영하던 중 여러분께서 기증하신 세탁기와 드라이어기를 함께 판매하여
이날 가장 많은 매상을 올렸기 때문입니다.
지난 14년간 많은 우여곡절을 지나 오늘에 이르기까지 리치는 하나님의 은혜와 사랑의 기적이라고 할 수 있습니다.
왜냐하면 한 사람이 변화를 체험하는 동안 나머지 9명은 사망의 그림자에 삼킴을 받게 되기 때문입니다.
다음 주 수요일 (9/14)일에 케띠와 안드레가 선교회에 입소합니다.
이분들이 리치 같이 변화 받아 새사람이 될지 아니면 나머지 9명의 죽음의 동반자가 될지 알 수 없습니다.
그래서 여러분의 기도를 부탁드립니다. 간절히 두 사람의 이름을 불러주십시오. 하나님의 전을 움직이는 여러분의 기도를 부탁드립니다.

2. 매장에서 판매할 물건을 계속해서 기부해 주시기 바랍니다. 특히 Closter 매장은 골프 등 스포츠 용품을 취급하려고 합니다.
3. 선교회 본관이 물건 보관 창고로 변하고 있습니다. 하루속히 물건을 옮겨 작업할 수 있는 다른 공간이 필요합니다. 위하여 기도 부탁드립니다.
4. 물건 수거, 분류, 정리 등 많은 손이 필요합니다. 함께 봉사해 주실분은 저에게 연락해주세요.
5. 가게가 확장함과 동시에 더 많은 홈리스분들에게 직업을 주려고 합니다. 하나님 아버지의 마음으로 이들을 바라볼 수 있는 눈을 가질 수 있도록 기도해주세요.
