2. Donate items to thrift stores

More clothes and donations are needed at the thrift stores. Please help us by organizing donations drives at churches, work, schools, and among friends. Also, please ask your local cleaners for donation of unclaimed clothing.

구제품 점에서 판매할 옷과 같은 기증품이 필요합니다. 각 가정, 교회, 직장, 학교 등에서 수거해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 또한 주변의세탁소에도 찾아가지 않은 옷들이 많이 있으니 방문하실 시 문의하여 주십시오.

Pennies from a Homeless Person,

I am not sure since when I have been picking up pennies, but ever since I picked up a shiny one from a snow pile, I have not overlooked pennies on the streets. No, they are not worth much to most of us, and why bother bend our backs and humiliate ourselves just to pick them up? However, we are not picking them up for their worth but for the significance of their entity: it is a currency that adds up.

Hana Mission operates daily with people in need, and our desires are to relieve the pressure of those people as much as we can. With our limited budget we are far from providing a quality service. It is only a miracle of God that Hana Mission is here today after so many trials and hardships.

A few days after sharing this story a homeless man brought a bag of pennies to help the Hana ministry. It was a small, see-through, plastic bag, and it contained $5 worth of pennies, at most. How I was thrilled and refreshed!!

Without exaggeration, my spirit was uplifted like I had received tens of thousands dollars. Now we have support not only from suburban churches but also from the homeless population!

Brothers and Sisters, we are so small in numbers but with these beautiful hearts we will continue to shine the light of Jesus Christ in the midst of a distressed community.

During this season of giving, I encourage you to share your love with those who are not able to pay back. Our Father in heaven will remember your good deeds and lavishly bless you and your family in return. May God bless your heart and continue to provide all your needs in time.

과부의 두 렙돈

홈리스를 섬기는 사역이 고달프고 외로운 사역이라고 생각하시는 분들께

사실입니다. 사람의 시각만 가지고 하나님의 임재하심을 깨닫지 못하고 이 사역을 감당한다면 분명히 십리도 못 가서 발병 날 사역입니다. 그러나 우리 안에 강건 하시는 성령님께서는 매일 아침 새로운 힘과 능력을 공급하셔서 말씀을 전하는 자나 듣는 자들에게 예수님의 보혈로 녹아지는 성령의 역사를 체험하게 하십니다.

몇 일 전 아침 설교 중에, 이달 (12월)과 오는 2016년 1월에 하나 선교회가 감당해야 할 일들을 홈리스 분들에게 언급한 적이 있습니다. 성령님께서 어떻게 역사하셨는지, 며칠 후 홈리스 분 중 한 분이 그 동안 모아두었던 일 전짜리 동전으로 가득한 비닐 한 봉지를 가지고 와서 사역에 보탬이 되고 싶다며 전달하셨습니다. 조그만 봉지에 가득한 일 전짜리는 눈 대중으로 봐도 차마 5불이 되지 않을 금액이었습니다. 하지만 성령님께서 주시는 감동은 돈의 얼마에 있지 않았습니다. 한 심령을 감화하셔서 비록 가진 것이 없는 자 일지라도 주님의 사역에 동참하게 하시는 하나님의 역사하심에 있었습니다. 일 전짜리로 가득한 봉지 주머니처럼 주님께서는 나의 마음을 풍성하게 하시고 믿음으로 이 사역을 감당할 수 있도록 용기를 복 돋아주셨습니다. 주님과 동행하는 삶이 어찌나 아름다운지요. 세상이 줄 수 없는 희망과 기쁨이 언제나 함께하니 이것이야 말로 잠언에 기록된 말씀의 증거라고 고백할 수 있습니다: 잠 3:13,14,17 “지혜를 얻은 자와 명철을 얻은 자는 복이 있나니 이는 지혜를 얻는 것이 은을 얻는 것보다 낫고 그 이익이 정금보다 나음이니라 그 길은 즐거운 길이요 그의 지름길은 다 평강이니라”

감사와 기쁨을 이웃과 나누는 성탄의 계절에 주님을 따르는 일이 바로 지혜이고 이 지혜를 품에 안을 때 세상에서 가장 힘들고 외로운 일이라 하여도 그 안에 하나님이 주시는 즐거움과 평강이 임하는 것을 깨닫는여러분과 여러분의 가정이 되시기를 기도 드립니다.
